Using Norton AntiVirus with your E-mail Client
We have found that more and more Primus customers are using anti-virus
software to scan their email, which we definitely encourage.
However, due to the sometimes complex nature of the anti-virus software,
they have problems getting the configuration right. Although
Primus cannot provide any Technical Support for other companies' software,
we provide these online instructions as a service to our customers.
You can configure your E-mail client to use Norton
by following these instructions. If you encounter difficulties,
please contact your software manufacturer.
- First, make sure that you have followed the configuration
instructions for your E-mail client.
- Open Norton
AntiVirus and click on Options.
- Under the Internet section, click on E-mail Protection.
- You should see a list of E-mail clients, put a checkmark besides
the E-mail clients that you want Norton
to protect.
- That's it, close up the configuration screen by pressing OK
and your E-mail should now be scanned by Norton
Antivirus.
