Network and Dial-up Connections in Windows 2000
Configuration Instructions
The Network Configuration Wizard included in Windows 2000 makes
creating a connection to the Internet an mostly painless event.
Follow these instructions to create a Iprimus.com Internet connection.
- Click on Start, then Control Panel.
- Double-click on Network Connections.
- Double-click on New Connection Wizard
- Click on Next >.

- Select Dial-Up to the Internet.
- Click on Next >.
.
- Select I connected through a phone phone line and a modem.
- Click on Next >.

- Type in the correct Dial-up
server Telephone Number.
- Click on Next >.

- Type in your complete Iprimus.com username in the User name:
box.
- Type your password in the Password: box.
- Click on Next >.

- Type Iprimus.com as your Connection name: .
- Click on Next >.

- If you do not wish to create your Internet mail account, select
No. Click here to skip the mail configuration
steps. If you wish to configure your email address, select Yes
and read on.
- Click on Next>.

- Type your real name in the Display name: box.

- Type your ful email address in the E-mail address: box.
For example: foo@iprimus.com

- Make sure that My incoming mail server is a POP3 server
is selected.
- Type
pop.iprimus.com in the Incoming mail server: box.
- Type
smtp.iprimus.com in the Outgoing mail server: box.

- Make sure that Log on using: is selected.
- Type your full email address in the Account name: box.
For example: user@iprimus.com
- Type your password in the Password: box. It will be hidden
by asterisks.
- If you do not wish to type your password each time you check
your mail, put a checkmark in the box besides Remember Password.

- That's it! You are finished and can now dial up to the Internet.
Click on Finish.
